Saintpaulia (African Violet)

This sweet plant can bloom year-round indoors given proper care. Native to Kenya and Tanzania, it is a lower light plant that blooms in pinks, purples, and whites. Please note the actual plants will look similar to the one shown, but as they are living, may be slightly different

Plant Information:

Product Details: The plant comes in a 4" plastic pot and is about 7" tall.

Pairs well with: Pottery | Brass Mister Watering Can | Plant Care Book

Light: They prefer moderate to bright, indirect light or fluorescent light.

Native to: Eastern Africa, Kenya and Tanzania

Water: Water weekly with lukewarm water, when soil is dry, and keep the soil most at all times. Thoroughly water and remove excess; avoid getting the leaves wet. May need to leach out water once or twice in the summer to remove any extra salts that accumulate.

Soil: African violet mix or a peaty potting soil. They like to be root bound, so a 4" container is the best size for them.

Temperature: They prefer 65-75 degrees.

Height: 7" indoors

Fun Fact: They can re-bloom year-round, but need 10-12 hours of light to keep blooming.
